So like Man U can't sign a kid from Yorkshire academy and shit.

Hull would have the choice of all Yorkshire talents, you know, being the best club in Yorkshire. Cool

Don't Brazil have that sort of a system in place already?

This is the rules. Clubs get around it by moving the family to the local area. If under 16, it has to be a hour-two hour drive from club.

james i remember seeing pictures of hull city training ground it looked like it was bombed by some planes or something seriously im no sure that if a youth player was offered contract by hull and man u that they would looking at those facilities with much fondness

    anyways

fifa for about 2 years had the over 18 rule, which meaning that no player can leave to another country unless they are 18 or over, even if that player moved to another country at 14 with entire familiy, he would being ban from football unless his move was for non football reasons

but last month the court of arbitration dickslapped fifa over that rule so now fifa had to backtrack and now any 16 year old or older person can travel to europe with a european passport

also that rule will heavily effect the epl youth academies as now foreign players will again be eligibile to be homegrown if they move to england at 16

surely this is a dagger in the heart of english people as now clubs will again getting lazy and will recruit a lot of foreign peoples again as the homegrown rule will mean nothing now

im sure there will always being certain amount of english people appearing from academies. the youth overhaul by english fa was maked to ensure this

but this is surely a blow and will slow down the process
