Your Top 5 Love Songs Empty Your Top 5 Love Songs

Post by Guest Sat Feb 12, 2011 11:24 am

With it being close to Valentines Day, lets all share out Top 5 Love Songs, and if possible, why? Very Happy

    Here's mine...

    5) Enrique Iglesias - Hero

Has to be in my Top 5. Used to be able to play this on guitar and always used to sing it on the karaoke when I went on holiday and everyone was like 'awww so cute'

    4) Bruno Mars - Just The Way You Are

Quite a new song, but has to be included. The lyrics in this are perfect. So cheesy. Plus this is my song with one girl cos we used to text the lyrics to each other cos we're cool like that Cool

    3) The Ordinary Boys - I luv U

Bit of a guilty pleasure to the list. I think this is a tune tbh, and I wrote the lyrics of it once in a Valentines card...but she knew the song Laughing

    2) Whitney Houston - I Will Always Love You

Such a powerful, beautiful song, and The Bodyguard is an amazing movie. Listening to this could give you goosebumps.

    1) Righteous Brothers - Unchained Melody

not worthy Brilliant song. If you've never seen the pottery scene in Ghost then you are mad. This is my number 1 because it was kind of my song with my ex I suppose. First film we watched together and she was my first serious girlfriend.

There's mine, now post yours Smile

Most of the songs posted on here are more cringe worthy than anything. Laughing

    My pick in no order.

    Lyrics:

Let me take you to the movies. Can I take you to the show
Let me be yours ever truly. Can I make your garden grow

From the houses of the holy, we can watch the white doves go
From the door comes Satan's daughter, and it only goes to show. You know.

There's an angel on my shoulder, In my hand a sword of gold
Let me wander in your garden. And the seeds of love I'll sow. You know.

So the world is spinning faster. Are you dizzy when you're stoned
Let the music be your master. Will you heed the master's call
    Oh... Satan and man.

Said there ain't no use in crying. Cause it will only, only drive you mad
Does it hurt to hear them lying? Was this the only world you had? Oh-oh

So let me take you, take you to the movie. Can I take you, baby, to the show.
Why don't you let me be yours ever truly. Can I make your garden grow
    You know.

Could be symbolic, of course, but I don't think so.

'' Because death is just too full and man too small, and I'm scared of what's behind and what's before." One of the most poignant and reflective verses I've ever heard in music. If you've ever had to contemplate your own mortality or that of a loved one, for whatever reason these words hold so much meaning. Incredibly powerful.
