Nistelrooy and Van Persie have done alright over here though.

Cheers, was just chatting to my mate about Suarez and he was going on about a middlesborough player. Couldn't think of his name though.

IIRC, Didn't he score some bullet of a freekick or was that someone else

Suarez will not flop in the Premier League, if that is what your friend was getting at.
The score alot in Dutch league = uncertain in Premier League is bullshit. It depends highly on the player in question and anyone would've seen players like Kuyt would flop, while RVP, van Nisterooy etc. would've done well. Babel is the exception, don't know how the fuck Liverpool screwed him up.

Quality goal.
Is he still with them or did they sell him?

Re: Who was the Middlesborough player...
I disagree with Polska. Suarez could come to the PL and set it alight, score bags of goals and create plenty more but there is a chance of him flopping. Any one can flop, you saying that he definitely won't is just bullshit.
I hope he does well (not too well) but this is one hard league.

Hopefully he bites Darren Fletcher and we see Vampire V Vulken action.

Re: Who was the Middlesborough player...
Of course anything can happen (such as an Eduardo or Liverpool stupidly playing him as a striker(although I think he'd still do fairly well even then)), but I am confident that Suarez fits the EPL perfectly.Mal wrote:I disagree with Polska. Exactly, the EPL is the toughest league in the world, without a doubt. Even the best players can flop in this league.

Because he wasn't as good as his hype suggested? You do realise that players get over-hyped?

Re: Who was the Middlesborough player...
He was overhyped yes, but he was still a good player. To me it seems like Babel's development was halted completely at Liverpool.Dan wrote:(polskaGOLA) wrote:Suarez will not flop in the Premier League, if that is what your friend was getting at.
