    A tad belated. He passed quietly over two weeks ago at the age of 92. I didn't hear about it until today. One of the last of our great heros of the greatest generation. A totally selfless man and great leader, in spite of his own insistance to the contrary.

    Hmm, looking at the guy's wiki..

    He took the same route as my Grandfather's uncle, who was a Polish fighter over the Battle of Britain and over D-Day, then he joined Polish regiment of paratroopers and landed in Market Garden, and continued through netherlands and Germany.
