It's weird how it works, you pick them up but it kind of works as you get first refusal on them, you don't neccesairly have to sign them up.

Adu was/is on trial at Ingolstadt. He is still owned by Benfica, and still is technically on loan at Aris in Greece, but they are trying to void the last six months of the loan deal, as they were trying to do over the summer. And technically, Adu's trial was with the reserve team at Ingolstadt.

You select them in hopes of signing them though. If they refuse, then to move to another team, they have to get the permission (usually will end with a trade of some sort) of the team that selected them in the draft.
