Really? Tell me the last time a Liverpool player said this and then went back on his word and left the club.
Torres and Reina are extremely loyal to the club, and now that Dalglish is in charge, I can see Torres wanting to spend the rest of his career here, should Dalglish stay on, or at least steer us back to the top.

They always say this, football players in general, doesn't matter who they play for they are unloyal, overpayed nobheads at the end of the day.
And Jord, and what?

He wouldn't stay for here whole career, you don't need to be a mind reader to know that. Worst comes to the worst he finds the prem too difficult

@Scotty, Torres is not going to retire at Liverpool.

I meant to say that he'll leave us eventually, but by going home to Atletico.

Depends who becomes a super power in 1-2 years time, City may well be heading to amazing things and would you blame him for going if you keep this form up? Torres is a world class player and expects to be playing with the best, not Europa league football on a cold Liverpool night or fighting for a european spot at Blackpool away on a wednesday.

Torres has already said that playing for Liverpool is a bigger privilege to him than winning any medal available.
He also said he'd like to captain us one day. And said he'd like to become a Liverpool legend.
He would never break the Liverpool fans hearts, imo.

Ronaldo said he wanted to play with Giggs for many more years to come, wanted to come close to his United appearances, wanted to become a United legend (he is.. but you get my point).ScottyBoy_21 wrote:

Exactly. Players don't stick to what they've said in the past. Torres could say all that rubbish until summer, and then suddenly move.ScottyBoy_21 wrote:

Look at Rooney, he always said he wanted to stay with us for the rest of his career, he said that in the summer. What did he say in October? I want to leave
Players change their minds, don't take what they say for granted.

Why do people always compare Torres to Ronaldo when they talk about loyalty? They're both completely different people.

Players change their minds. They'll say one thing one week, and say the opposite the next
And Ronaldo is a United legend, no doubt about it

Of course. He wants to retire with Atletico. But there's nothing to suggest that he will do it in the near future.

Nicky Butt isn't a legend but Ronaldo is because he helped win stuff? Who also said he's loyal to the club but set sail on the right offer? nothing glory hunting about that
