What a comeback United started the game and we could not live with them but a bit of Liverpool fight got us back in it, if only we could have that fight in the team at this moment

I remember Smudge breaking his leg, I felt sick. Absolutely horrible, was overjoyed when he came back and got his goal against Roma, he worked so hard to get back, but has never been the same player since.

He was a shit midfielder to begin with tbh. And Smudge is a shit nickname.

That's why I said midfielder and not player. He was a decent striker, then for some reason you tried to turn him into a midfielder and it failed miserably.

That's why I said midfielder and not player. He was a decent striker, then for some reason you tried to turn him into a midfielder and it failed miserably.

Probably because he didn't score that much and was a physical player. Also at the time our CM was rather shocking and not in good shape.

We had practically no options in midfield at the time- Keano had just retired, Fletcher was still developing, and didn't Scholes get his eye injury? Or was that the season after..?

On injuries: I never want a player to suffer an injury like that, I felt physically sick when it happened to Cisse.

Can't bring myself to hate Smith, he did so much for the club and put his heart and soul into it, was just like one of us. Kewell was always a moody bastard though and clearly had some vendetta against O'Leary. I also think joining Galatasaray is worse than joining Man Utd.

But Man Utd were pretty much the worlds biggest club, best club. Galatasaray were nothing special on the pitch, he had to move to a different country and all that. Just didn't make sense.

Yeah, I was really worried about SCHOLES. His return, and the signing of Carrick were huge for us in 06/07, not to mention Ronaldo

Remember everything about that day so clearly, even though we'd been relegated it was something special. When he scored the penalty and pointed at the badge/arm band.

Just love the Beardsley goal and the Mcmahon goal even though United came back and drew 3 3 after being down 3 1

Beardsley hat trick when we beat United 4 nil in 1990.91 season and the 4 1 just a few years back of course
