Re: Man Shitty sign Gai Assulin....
The question is why did he leave Barca? I heard injury problems and a lack of growth is why they let him go. Hopefully he pushes on tbh, from what I saw of him two years ago in a pre-season game he could be very good.

$?
Barca rate Thiago and Jonathan higher anyways.

Re: Man Shitty sign Gai Assulin....
When the story first came up I never heard money mentioned. I don't think the Thiago and Jonathan thing is relevant tbh as they are central playmakers and Assulin is a winger. It's not like they were competing for the same spot.

You're right about Jonathan and Thiago.
Although it's not like Assulin was going to break into the teams anyways.
Barca have Messi, Pedro, Jeffren and Bojan, who struggles to get games himself.
Barca can afford to offload him.

Re: Man Shitty sign Gai Assulin....
All true. Still curious about the official reason he was let go though.

Re: Man Shitty sign Gai Assulin....
is not as good as he used to be
he never mature tactically and always injured
i doubt he will achieve much in football

Re: Man Shitty sign Gai Assulin....
Man City wasn't the best move either though.
Should've went to somewhere like Ajax on loan.

Ajax are pretty stacked too where he plays...they have Eriksen too who appears to have more potential.

"like" Ajax, as in similar stature. Not Ajax in particular.
I'm aware Ajax is stacked in that department.

And no need for a loan when you don't have a contract.

Ajax's still a big club if you ask me.
Doubt he would get in any XI in any top 4-5 side in any division, unless he plays in Russia, Turkey or the MLS.

He can come to Poland.
Nah, he still wouldn't start at top-table teams here either. He has alot of potential, but he is far from any of it at the moment.
A very bad moment to leave Barca IMO. Was better off staying patient and developing there.

Re: Man Shitty sign Gai Assulin....
problem is that tactically he not good
he is one of those skill player with no end product
he not lift up his head.
in u16 level this all nice it does not matter much but in pro it shows his immaturity
i was lucky enough to watching him play in a small tournament some time ago. he has some nice skill(that has going backwards recently) but never lifting his head

Re: Man Shitty sign Gai Assulin....
yep so it will being interesting
right now i would compare his development similar to kakuta
except kakuta is more talented and hasnt been injured as much(although he has suffer from broken leg so far) and has more experience in top level, but both are very much "dumb" at top level, never lifting their head and always pass when they should shoot and shoot when they should pass type players
it will take some time for them to mature. but for assulin i not so sure. i dont think he will ever achieve much he lost a lot of his pace and confidence to dribble

Re: Man Shitty sign Gai Assulin....
I've never seen him play, but you've said the guy's got plenty of talent. Sounds like most young attackers, lots of skill; disappointing end product. Give him time and it could come..

Yeah because Fergie took a 17m gamble on Nani and the most promising footballer in Portugal
Clearly they were going to develop, quite a silly assumption tbh

Re: Man Shitty sign Gai Assulin....
He still came to us with little end product. It took him 2 and a half years for him to show consistent form for us.
