Liverpool Football Club have confirmed the signing of Marc Pelosi from the DeAnza Force Club in California.

The midfielder was captain of the United States U17 team who participated in this year's FIFA World Cup tournament in Mexico.

Pelosi has featured 28 times for the U17s against other national sides, scoring eight goals.

Academy director Frank McParland said: "We're determined to identify the best possible talent globally and I'm delighted we've been able to to bring Marc in to the club."

    He has signed. not worthy

Yeah, I was a bit reluctant in mentioning it because it was a pretty jammy goal. Laughing

I feel a bit sorry for him, back in his Santos days he looked like a great talent and El Travieso Guzaman had great expectations for him but he seemed to slip into that part time player/second division regular role through out the years.

I mean he's still kinda young so you never know.

You know who I've been surprised has never earned even a call up? Diego de la Torre, he's become a regular for Toluca recently and I'm pretty sure he's eligible to be called up cause of one of his grandparents, ESPN wrote an article about this back in like 2008. Yanks Abroad - Page 12 279869

This was his last goal scored.

Just some end of year updates on the Yanks i follow.

Jozy Altidore haven't scored in a while now, still at 7 for his club AZ which goes into the winter break on 1st place which is a surprise. AZ play against Ajax in the cup tomorrow evening in Amsterdam

In little cold Denmark there is also a surprise in the form of Michael Parkhurst and FC Nordsjælland who currently occupy the 2nd spot after spending last few seasons flailing around the bottom, they are finally coming together and able to play the beautiful football they have been working on for the last 5 years and it gave them 5 callups to the last 2 national team games.

For the other Americans such as Chris Rolfe @ Aab who has scored 4 goals but like Altidore has been quiet lately, he's been good. Michael Tracy is still injured and won't get his contract renewed, though luck for the guy who scored one of the best headers i've ever seen. For HB Køge defender Brad Rusin it's been mixed, he has been good in most of his matches but he is in the by far weakest team in the league and they have little to no chance of staying in the first divison, on the other hand Brad might have a shot as he is definitely a quality defender. There is also Conor O'brien but i can't lie myself out of this, i have no idea who he is. He's played 12 games 4 in the starting lineup and scored 1 goal, he is at SønderjyskE.

Last theres Clarance Goodson, who like the rest of the Brøndby team which possibly has the most experience and quality in all of the league, currently reside in 10th place of 12 possible. Goodson is the team captain and has gotten a lot of stick talking back to refs and voicing his opinion which has not gone well with quite a few poor performances for a defender of his quality. Im sure he'll turn it around like the team should in spring, but this fall has been disappointing for Goodson and Brøndby.

Pelosi is doing really well in the under 18's. Been playing a mixture of left back and left midfield.

Firstly, he isn't a striker. Secondly, he sucks.

Nah, I'd imagine he'll get moved up to reserve level first.

Our other Yank, Bijev has done well with Dusseldorf. Not played for the first team yet, but he is rated highly apparently.

I found that out from our clubs forums. Left winger apparently.

Do you know if he's fast or anything? We are hoping that he's a replacement for Gradel.

Thanks. We need pace in our team. Last season Snodgrass was the assist man while Gradel used to cut inside and score. Seems like he's half as good. Laughing

Robbie is fast, good with both feet, can shoot from distance and play on both wings and is a general threat all around. Had 2 Goals and 7 assists for us this year, so ignore this haters lies about him. If he can keep his form and his motivation, he'll be a quality signing for you. If not, expect a lot of running straight to the endline and shitty crosses.

For a second there I thought we were talking about Robbie Findley and almost fell off my chair reading BigJ0526's description! Yanks Abroad - Page 12 70955

Then realized we were talking about Rogers and it made me spit my soda out.

Oh yeah, U-20 US defender Greg Garza signed for Xoloitzcuintles, that now makes him the third American playing at the club along with Joe Corona and Edgar Castillo.

Only players w/6+ goals in each of last 5 EPL seasons: Clint Dempsey, Frank Lampard, Robin van Persie & Wayne Rooney.

Get some, Clint. Players who are left out of that -- Drogba, Tevez, Bent. Those are just off the top of my head.

Joe Corona and Hercules Gomez both scored this weekend. Unfortunately for Gomez and fortunately for me, he missed a 90th minute penalty that would of given his team the tying goal. Although it's divine justice because it really a penalty. -_-

I'll post the goals a bit later.

Yeah, everything about that header was fantastic, from Crosas' cross to Hercules' header.

And I think Hercules being in Mexico is more to blame for his miss, he's to close to his roots, it's bringing out the Mexican in him, except for handful of players Mexicans are terrible at penalties, except for a few exceptions, foreigners are the ones who take penalties in this leauge, ironically this is one of the few teams where a Mexican takes the penalties, but Juan Pablo Rodriguez was subbed off and their wasn't anyone on the field that would of been a better option than Hercules really, he probably was the best option, maybe Peralta but it's not like he takes too many penalties either. Well actually Gomez didn't miss exactly but Michel stopped it although he could of probably done better.

You can see his goal and the penalty here a bit better.

    Corona's goal.

He needs a nickname, still haven't heard anyone baptize him yet, but I guess with a name like Joe Benny there really isn't a need.
