This is the first time in the 125 year history of the club that they top tier of English football which makes for an awesome story. Okay, it is not official but Middlesbrough would need a 20 goal swing in goal difference to change the story. If results go their way they could win the Championship in the final round.

The previous post might look like a train wreck but they are not going to be caught with one fixture to go, unless you think a 19 goal difference can be made up in one game.

I believe it can, so they haven't won promotion yet.

Any club whose stadium can only hold 12,000 people shouldn't be allowed to play in the Premier League.

I hope they can expand their stadium or dare I suggest ground share because 12,000 is very small. The club has an interesting back story since they finished the 2008/09 season 21st in League Two almost going out of business completely.ResurrectionRooney wrote:Any club whose stadium can only hold 12,000 people shouldn't be allowed to play in the Premier League.

What's the lowest ever? I imagine 12,000 is close.
Loftus Road is pretty pokey, can't imagine it's close to 12 though.

Oldham had the smallest in PL history with just over 10K. Bournemouth are now going to have the 2nd smallest.

Carpi FC in Italy actually has a more serious problem than AFC Bournemouth in regards to having a tiny stadium. Their stadium has a capacity of 4,144 and they will be in the Serie A next year. Although in 2000/01 they were in the 6th tier so I do not think you can blame them for this issue.
