There's a difference between most important player, and best individual player.

By your logic, Henderson > Suarez last season.

Henderson is the first name on the team sheet, though. I agree.

Oh I see where the difference in opinions is

I'm basing best player as in most important player to the team

where you are going on the understanding that best player means most skilled and best individual player

In both circumstances we are correct, Sterling is most skilled and best individual while Henderson is the most important.
