Nasri decision has been expected for some time, their coach doesn't get along with him at all.

I hope Klose can break the scoring record.

He needs two to tie, three to break Ronaldo's record, right?

Edit: 2 to break the record.

Also, Falcao is on Colombia's 30 man list. Tevez, Pastore, and Lamela off of Argentina's.

Tevez not being in the squad is the correct decision. Playing him on the left wing in their last tournament just to fit him in the team was a mistake. Have no idea about Pastore. Lamela has been god awful so that's no surprise to me.

Good for Falcao, honestly didn't expect him to make it.

Bit of a shame that Pastore isn't included, but there's really no space for him.

Luis Suarez had minor surgery on his knee, but Uruguay believe that he will be able to recover in time to be fit for the World Cup.

Especially when you take along 18 year olds who have never played a league game for their club team.

No Donovan. You have got to be forking kidding me. Best player in a USA shirt just about everytime he puts it on. What in the blue Hell is going on?

Perhaps the coach is a subscriber to the absurd school of thought that bringing young players to a world cup ahead of better older players will magically make the younger players more talented.

I believe Klinsmann is trying to prove that he is the smartest man in the room by going against convention. Only thing I can think of. Unfathomable otherwise to bring a 18 year old who has played more minutes for his national team (30) than his club team (2) in his professional career over Donovan, with his 156 caps and 55 goals.

Hopefully you're not taking that out of context, but knowing your history, I'd have to imagine so. That was a quote from Bruce Arena, his current Galaxy manager and his USA manager from 2000-2006. It is quite the quote, and while I don't think it's exactly true, I can see where he is coming from.

Of course also just because Donovan didn't make the team doesn't mean that there are 23 players better than him, but the sentiment is what counts. And of course, he is still better than the likes of Davis, Bedoya (although I agree with his inclusion), and obviously, Green.

So right, the Galaxy fans don't believe that, it was just a quote from someone else.

Does it need that context? I thought it made sense as a joke/point about dropping him in itself.

Montes out of Mexico's squad after getting destroyed following a long range bomb against Ecuador. The guy he collided with, Segundo Castillo, will also be out of the World Cup with a torn ACL. http://deadspin.com/luis-montes-scores-spectacular-goal-immediately-suffer-1584281116

Montolivo is out of Italy's squad after breaking is tibia against Ireland.

Tomorrow is the deadline for submitting the 23 man squads.
