I thought Glen and Kolo were solid. Enrique was dreadful, either hoofing it, losing the ball, or sending a missile of a cross high and wide. Agger was okay until his ridiculous handball.

Lucas looked pretty good and kept his head when that savage beast from Hell N'Zonzi thuggishly slapped him across the face. Gerrard was a bit frustrating, Coutinho likewise-at least the latter had 2/3 of his trademark passes from deep. Aspas was encouraging, DStudge looked off the pace, and Henderson was nonexistent but improved in the second half.

The subs were irrelevant. Roll on this season. YNWA

Will retrospective action be taken? I suppose not. N'Zonzi is 100% certified thug, so he will get away with it.

What did he say?

He said it's a conspiracy that the press isn't focusing on Liverpool's 'magnificent' preseason results but instead on the Suárez situation. He also said Liverpool will challenge Manchester United this season.

I do think SPOH will weaken United, but referees and van Persie eliminate any chance of us being close to them.

N'Zonzi needs to be kept in a cage, sickening seeing him trying to square up to coutinho. Emotionally draining game, I knew that MignoletLAD was good, didn't I say all along.

Superbly. King Kolo shat on Carragher.

Agreed. Kolo eclipsed Carragher in one game. He's still got a bit of Carraghitis in his blood, but he's better on the ball, better in the air (offensively and defensively), and, most importantly, he has the pace to win the race.

What type Carraghitis does he have?

Stage II/III, I think. I originally thought he had the full monty-lack of pace, thuggishness, etc., but he seems to be in better shape right now than he was at City.

You have to wonder if he's been hitting the PEDs again, though.

His sprint in the second half was genuinely fucking fast. Have you seen it? It almost looks fake.

We used to be the slowest & most tekkerless team in the league. Now we've got Sterling, DStudge, Ibe, Glenjo, Enrique, KoLAD, and Banterini for pace with Coutinho, LS7, DStudge, and maybe even Will.i.an providing the skills.

That's sped up massively. Even the Stoke players are back off at the speed of Olympic sprinters.

The change in personnel we've gone through this Summer, January and last Summer is incredible.

Out: Kuyt, Aurelio, Maxi, Aquilani, Bellamy, Adam, Joe Cole, Spearing, Downing, Shelvey, Carragher, Carroll, Sahin.

In: Borini, Sturridge, Assaidi, Coutinho, Allen, Mignolet, Toure, Alberto, Aspas, Cissokho, Willian(?).
