Actually the tournament doesn't matter. This thread will be used to track Australia's Josh Brillante and his wonderous beard as they make their way through the tournament.

Still easily the best player on the field. But the US was well aware of his threat, and did a decent enough job to neutralize him.

Despite another valiant, manly display by Josh Brilliante and his beard, Australia fell 2x1 to the wily El Salvador.

It's a sad day for football as Australia are out of the U20 World Cup courtesy of a superb goal.

A lot of other nations have already qualified for the last 16. Only a couple more spots are left to be decided. England will hope to book one of those but we all know they're going to choke.

Quintero is destroying these teams so far. 

The Mali players tried to protest that the goal shouldn't have counted due to the missing shoe, but since it was lost during that same play it's allowed. Mexico barely scraped through and now they will likely face a tournament favorite in either Spain or Portugal. If the lack of goals that was seen before this match continues, then there is no chance Mexico can beat either of those teams.

As predicted England choked. Iraq still ballin' though. Last 16.

France, Uzbekistan, Uruguay, and Spain through from the first set of games.

Chile, Ghana, Iraq, and South Korea complete the last eight.

Ashia scored this for Ghana.



And Juan Quintero scored this with the last kick in normal time to send the to extra time.

The last four is set. France destroyed Uzbekistan. Uruguay punked Spain. South Korea dragged out an equalizer in the last minute of ET but lost to Iraq on penalties. Chile then went on to fuck up a lead in extra time to lose 4x3 to Ghana. Some great goals in that one.

That leaves four teams from four different Confederations.

Iraq x Uruguay
