The point is that the drama in wrestling isn't as good as something on AMC or Showtime as he claims. The shows on there have better acting, the characters are more real and the plots are more complex. Sure, wrestlers deserve credit for the physical aspect of what they do and there is a level of showmanship that goes into it but to compare it to proper television series is just absurd.

I'm probably wrong, but he's not comparing the quality of the acting or whatever, I think he was just saying that you should watch Wrestling like a tv show, with story lines and stuff and not try to think of it as something which is meant to be real. You don't sit watching a tv programme like ..I dunno, breaking bad or whatever, thinking 'this is clearly fake.' Obviously the acting and storylines aren't as deep or as good as in proper tv, but yeah

I like to compare it to something like Eastenders or a soap opera, cos that's basically what it is. Laughing It's like a soap opera where 'shocking' things happen and then they fight about it

But if it's like any TV show and we both acknowledge that the cinematic elements in it are weaker than in most other TV shows, why would you watch it? And it's the way that it's presented that makes people dismiss it as "fake". Something like Breaking Bad doesn't have a live audience that cheers or boos when certain characters appears on screen. That stuff happens in sports which are intended to be real depictions of physical prowess. Wresting presents itself in that way without it being entirely real nor entirely fake. The way I see it, it's a weak mix of drama and sport and I wouldn't want to watch it as either.

My issue with it was that I always saw it as a sport (as a child), something like boxing with a little bit more (ie. tag teams, different style of fights) once i learned that things were scripted, I had to drop it.

If the picture of the leaked track list for kanyes new album is true there's some pretty good collaborations on there

Hopefully the song with Frank ocean and Pusha T is true, and the song with John Legend, Kid Cudi, and Pusha T is true

It's not real, all those songs have been rumored long ago, someone just took the 4 or 5 most popular rumors and put it out there.

Has anyone used a shisha/hookah pen?

I really wanna try one. They can't be bad for you as one of the Forest players tweeted about using one earlier today. He wouldn't be putting that in the public eye of they were bad.

Gordon have you ever played Dante's Inferno? There's a animated film based on the game out on Netflix. Watched it today. Was better than I expected. The changing of art styles between chapters in the film was a bit weird though. Still, a solid viewing I though.

Just saying, 'cause I would think that's the kind of thing right up your alley.

I've pretty much exhausted everything I want to watch on netflix already. Last night I finished all 5,635 minutes of Monk.

Have a look through that subreddit. Added a lot of shows to my instant queue just by browsing. Not sure how many of them I'll like, but meh.

You might wanna try Hunter x Hunter 2011 for a new anime--if you're looking for one. shifty

Speaking of which. I think I'm a fan of those Japanese Pop Rock songs that come out in video games.

I imagine that's the kind of corny goodness Ryu from Shaman King would listen to.
