If you're a masochist I recommend the Fire Emblem series. The Mario games are always fun too. Been playing Mario Kart 7 today. Can't beat 150cc mode. Can't even win a single tournament. It's frustrating me.

I love the advance wars series. Only reason I like the Fire Emblem series more is because of the fantasy setting and unique characters.

Saying that though, losing a unit in advance wars hurts a whole lot less than having Dorcas your level 20 Warrior get criticled 1 hit ko by a Swordmaster.

Any platform will do, but was always interested in fire emblem, will check it out.

Never use the Paladin you get in the first level, that is the advice I give you. It applies to all the games.

Made by same company I think. They even use the same blue arrow when moving units.

Biggest difference between the two games besides setting, is that FE is more story/text heavy and there is unique units and permanent death. That means that every unit has there own personality, goals, dreams and family. If they die in battle they stay dead. It can be really harsh sometimes, especially with powerful characters dying or when your favorite character dies.

I actually care about my units so I did a lot of restarting.

Deno have you tried that Pokemon MMO game yet? I've been playing it a bit since you posted it, it's pretty cool but it's pretty much just pokemon fire red with a few extra features. On a related note...

Played a few of the newer Pokemon games but for some reason I felt the game lost a bit of the charm the original red and blue had. I still had fun with Gold and Silver but after that it just wasnt for me anymore.

There's this guy on tumblr that died who just so happens to go by Che. So now my dash is blowing up with r.i.p. Che stuff and it's kinda surreal, it's like I kicked the bucket and I'm witnessing people mourn me.

The only problem with that sentence is maybe it needs a comma or full stop after 'internet'.

Depends. Are you going to use an iPad outside? I literally use mine at home, at uni and in the odd coffee shop. All of them supply wi-fi so a data plan is unnecessary. Only time you may want data is when travelling. I just put movies on it and that gets me through.
