After a great result against Arsenal 2 weeks back and another great result during the week at Stamford bridge, Southampton have sacked Nigel Adkins and appointed Mauricio Pochettino.

Took them over when they were 22nd in League One just two seasons ago. He's done an exceptional job at getting them where they are now.

When I saw it thought maybe they meant he was in hospital last night or something as they said he has been relieved, then it hit me. Very shocked tbh, doesn't deserve the sack after all he's done for them and it seems like they're going on a decent run as well, was it unbeaten in their last 3 or so. Jordi did say they made the decision before the Chelsea game.
