Become a world class manager? World class footballer just means one that we will have all heard of.

Not world class and impossible to tell how good he'll do as a manger, but from the City team I feel Zabaleta may try management.

How many world class players become managers anyway, not a fan of this question

Laudrup is the best example I can think of, but not so many.
Mancini wasn't bad either. Definitely the best out of the top teams in England.

that's why its a good question, because not a hell of a lot of players become great managers, but there are normally a few that make the transition succesfully

Quite a lot actually. Gullit, Rijkaard, van Basten, Matthaus, Shearer, Maradona, Cruyff, Klinsmann, Dalglish, Laudrup, Schuster, Stoichkov, Beckenbauer, Keegan and many others. From the generation just before this one there are already plenty on their way to becoming coaches like Zidane, Bergkamp and Baggio. So yeah, quite a few.

Glen Johnson. You can just see from the way that he walks around the field, classy and composed, instructive and helpful-he knows the game, and he connects with players. Steven Gerrard normally gives a nonverbal two finger salute to anyone that dares to question him, but as you can see in my signature, Glen Johnson recently became the first man in Liverpool history to take Captain Fantastic down a notch. He has succeeded where club legends and average managers have failed.

I know that in your hormonal little world, the only way to "take someone down a notch" is to outclass them in the art of throwing fists or spewing out drivel, but Glen Johnson does not operate on such a primitive level.Danny wrote:He took Gerrard "down a notch" by talking to him?
