I think the major issue here is that she's 10, and her parents think it's fine to let her have a FB and an iPhone.

Had to fork over £50 to my dad for gifts there

I sold an iPhone 5 yesterday and it was for a 12 year old girl.

£36 a month contract unlimited texts, internet and 1GB of data.

I don't get why people moan at young kids having iPhones and stuff

If they were around when we were that age I'm sure we'd have that sort of stuff too.

PS2's, Gameboys etc were the iPhones and iPads of today

I'm not sure. Back when I was that age, the first phones me and my mates all got were old hand me downs, like our Dad's old work mobiles and stuff. We all had old rubbish like those Nokia's you could get custom covers for even though they were a few years old by then. Nobody ever had new phones really, whereas nowadays loads of kids will get an iPhone for their first mobile.

It's just council families that give their 11 year old a £36 a month contract iPhone 5 and the only thing the kid does is play games on the app store with it.
