Felipe Melo made a heroic penalty save to prevent his team, Galatasaray, from dropping points away to Elazigspor in the Turkish Super Lig.
The Brazilian midfielder stood in for red carded goalkeeper Fernando Muslera in the 89th minute of the match and got lucky. Explaining how he denied Goksu Turkdogan from snatching a late equalizer, Melo told Lig TV:
“I looked into Goksu's eyes. He looked like he wasn't sure [which way to go] to me. I didn't jump too early and waited until the last second to move.
“I really want to thank the fans. I didn't start the season well but this save is extra motivation for me.”
LMAO @ How far off the line he comes.
