Exactly. Sure he can be annoying as fuck at times but he is clearly better than Young.Sean wrote:And Nani's rotting on the bench.

Why do things like this never get talked about, but when it's Suarez, the whole world explodes?

Fucking Christ that doesn't even warrant a red card. It warrants an extended prison sentence.
Okay, maybe not that bad but it's pretty bad.

Yea, Scholes is a dirty cunt but every commentator just laughs it off.

Re: Manchester United FC Official Thread
That tackle isn't that bad because it's not really dangerous at all.. Scholes is dirty cunt with his tackling but that is so minor when you look at the danger he's putting the QPR player in, none.
The Suarez ones I've seen have been going in with studs into players legs or stamping which is actually dangerous, but I agree a lot of Scholes' tackles get laughed off.

I don't want to make it seem like I'm having a go at Suarez now so I'll use this from his Ajax days..
For me that is a horrendous tackle, studs straight into the defender, whereas Scholes just puts each leg either side of the player and kicks the ball..

Antonio Valencia missed the victory against Queens Park Rangers due to a hip problem.
The Ecuador winger could also be forced to sit out the visit of another London side, Sam Allardyce's West Ham, on Wednesday night in the Reds' next Barclays Premier League assignment.
"He had a hip injury," the boss revealed to MUTV. "Just towards his back.
"He's had a bit of pain there for the last couple of weeks but he's been playing with it. That's the type of guy he is. He never mentioned it and plays on.
"All of a sudden, you ask him and he says: 'Yes, it's sore.'
"It won't be too long and he should be ready for maybe next week."
Please be the reason he's been playing shit.

Scholes did more than kick he ball though. He scissored him. Not a horror tackle, but it probably hurt and he should have been sent off.
I've seen worse tackles from Scholes but that doesn't mean this was any less deserving of a sending off and should have been pointed out by the commentators.
I think that's the issue here by the way. Not that this was really bad but rather that no one cares when Scholes does things like this.
Personally, I think it's the English vs. Foreigner thing and not a Man United thing.

Re: Manchester United FC Official Thread
It's not, it's just a Scholes thing, it's like everyone has come to accept he's a bad tackler so will just be reckless and we'll go typical Scholes and laugh it off, but I genuinely don't think that was all that bad, yellow card at most for me and I'd say the same if it was Suarez making the challenge.Ché Guayaba wrote:Scholes did more than kick he ball though. Yeah, I wasn't saying it was as bad as Suarez or whatever. My point was it doesn't get talked about. Whenever Suarez does a stamp or whatever, there are so many gif images of it on here and on RedCafe or whatever. I shall wait and see if Match of the Day say anything though. If they do, fair enough, but if they don't .. pretty pathetic, considering they replayed Suarez's one against Wigan about 10 times over.
