Re: Chat Thread
All these feels... This was on reddit in a secret sharing thread.
- Spoiler:
- First, I don't need an intervention - I just need to vent.
Almost three years ago (June 16th), my wife suddenly passed away at
home, at the age of 34. I was the one who found her, and she'd been
gone for at least an hour if not more when I did.
We'd been together for eleven years. It wasn't perfect - what
marriage is? - but things had been worse, and were in the process of
finally getting better. Being best friends can help you get through the
worst of times. I felt guilty that one of my thoughts was "at least
now we won't fight over stupid crap that doesn't really matter".
For at least six months, I was on autopilot. I went to work, did
what I had to do to get paid, and just. didn't. care. Ate a lot of fast
food because I didn't want to expend the energy to go to the grocery
store. I bought my cats food from Amazon because they'd deliver it to
my front door.
Depression is a horrible thing; only now can I look back and realize just how bad it was.
It's not every day, but there are times when I think about joining my
wife, but then that would just mean an end result of other people
having to deal with the aftermath of my problems.
There are days when I get home from work and unlock the front door
and walk into a quiet house, where I would give up everything I own to
have someone there to give me a hug and sincerely ask how my day went
and honestly care about my answer.
Something so simple as human touch, compassion, and companionship is
worth more than anything else in the world. If you've got it, if you
have someone that loves you - don't give that up. Don't waste it.
Don't be petty or throw it away because of other little things that
don't really matter in the grand scheme of life.
Some of us wonder if we'll ever get to experience it again.

Re: Chat Thread
My word indeed
Seen an old lady fall over today, everyone just stood there. I ran over and helped her up then everyone else just came and stood there doing nothing. A guy came over to walk her away but she fell over again. Girl walked over texting, then continued to type away while standing in front of the old lady, as if she was coming over and helping. Makes you wonder if it was your grandma who fell over how annoyed would you be if people didn't do anything to help. Called an ambulance, think she broke her hip.

So the taxi driver today was going off about how life under Mubarak was better and how he supports Assad. I just sat their quiet shaking my head in agreement fearing for my life or getting ripped off if I spoke out.

You don't fuck with Egyptian cabbies. Niggas will drive the cab off the side of a cliff to prove a point.dena wrote:ahlycotc wrote:So the taxi driver today was going off about how life under Mubarak was better and how he supports Assad. I'm not a fan of the tile layout but I've seen a lot of reviews and comparisons and they look good srs, the software looks very smooth.crump wrote:Kyro you cunt.

Okay you don't need to specify what you're a fanboy of... I've always liked the GTA serie as has everyone, but you're one of those cunts that could see a picture of a lump of shit with GTA written on it and pretend to think it looks amazing.Kuled wrote:As a massive fanboy these are amazing Can't wait for the trailer on Wednesday.

Yes. I am considering one, fuck iPhones. I like the tiles system and the integration with Xbox Live and Office.
I want to see what the S4 is like first though.

Serious question, and nothing against you ... but do you ask these many questions in real life?

Well that's not true, I'm not pretending. I'm just looking forward to the game a lot. Screenshots are the closest thing we have of gameplay and since it's been so long since the last came out I got really excited, but the 'gawddd' thing was more about the article than the screenshots

Edit: @Crump.
I feel I can justify most of my questions, a large majority of them involve me just gaining peoples opinions and trying to start a conversation. It helps been on a forum with people who share my interests, i.e. not many of my friends are going University etc.
