Re: Chat Thread
If I was a manager in a phone shop, and I had a new guy coming in, I would hire a 'plant' or something. This fake customer would come in, and i'll be like 'You can handle this one, Newbie' and then it'll give them loads of confidence when he gets his first sale.

You play FIFA, because the X Factor is shite.ForestLAD wrote:I seem to have some sort of illness all the time these days it seems.
Do I continue to watch X Factor for the first time in weeks, or do I have a night on FIFA?

It's weird man, I'm like what if they didn't like me, was I good enough, was I rude and I didn't realise? Now I'm just like I'm a spare part and can't do anything
How about a 15% cut from your salary then?
How about 15% comission if I ever get any

X-Factor. I sold FIFA.
Cam wrote:Did you sell anything, Crump?
No, I wasn't sure if I was expecting too or not really, but it obviously looked so complicated and I was like: "What the hell have I done " I'm sure I'll get used to it but I'm more nervous now because I know what to expect
I bumbled through like 4 top-ups though I found that challenging

Re: Chat Thread
Crump, what's the average success rate of selling a phone? I would imagine a customer that is walking intentionally into a phone shop to look for a new phone has a pretty high chance of completing the sale.

I tried to make up the targets board in the staff room and they look not stupidly hard but achieveable depending on your ability I guess. So you shouldn't struggle.
Mine is 50% of what is expected me for my first month, and increases 25% every month of my 3rd month of probation.
I was shadowing today and it's pretty common tbh, I saw like 4-7 contracts been sold, probably 10 SIM cards, loads of top-ups and loads of Pay-as-you-go phones.
I'm dreading it though, it's like my driving lesson. In my second one I felt like a complete dick and just wanted to stop the car and get out.
You can't get through life like that walking away whenever it gets tough though.

Not a bad idea, or something like a phone case.

Head honcho of a pizza company is like:
"Mate just go home tonight, it's too busy to do anything, sorry" Sending his CEO home
It's funny when they say stuff like "Head office are useless, we get no support" and the CEOs are like

Anybody see Derren Brown last night? I just found out my friend was one of the actors in the pub, didn't recognise him when I watched it though.
