The 2012 FIFA Futsal World Cup is the 7th FIFA Futsal World Cup, an international futsal tournament that is taking place from 1–18 November 2012 in Thailand.^[1] An extra four teams (increase to 24 from 20 at the 2008 event in Brazil) is competing at this World Cup.<sup>[2]

I watched the Italy - Australia match. Italy were (obviously) destroying Australia. Terrific team.

Echoing Glen's words, I really am not surprised an England futsal team doesn't exist. Go to the local park or 5 a side leagues across the country and you find out, samba and tika-taka don't exist.

They exist but they could not beat Latvia in the qualifers. This is how their group went;

Latvia 7-1 England

England 3-2 Cyprus

San Marino 3-5 England

Who are the favourites to win it? Guessing probably Brazil... But I really have no idea what countries are good at Futsal.

You'd think countries with gloomy weather would be the best at it.

I'd imagine countries with the shittest facilities, Che. All they have is like 20 of them and one mediocre ball in a small space.

So they probably get good like that.

The Futsal World Cup has been played 6 times, Brazil has won it 4 times and Spain won it twice.

I feel a little bad about completely forgetting about this competition but now it is at the semifinal stage. These games are on the 16th with the third place game and the final on the 18th.
