It's just a good feeling game, the guns feel right when you shoot them and it's satisfying to kill people. Plus the big variety of guns, perk and kill streak system are fun.
Battlefield 3 is not the best FPS by a mile, because best is subjective. It's the FPS you enjoy most by a mile maybe.
