In a bizarre twist the 19 year old driver is being charged for vehicular manslaughter for the two deaths. Since his reckless driving led to the accident.

What bad luck. And unless he was driving under the influence, it's harsh on him to be charged.

Speaking of car accidents. My dad just told me he almost bit the dust in his car accident the other day. They shocked him with the defibrillator. He conveniently forgot to mention this until now. Jeez.

Re: Chat Thread
A little back story on that. My parents where in a serious car accident last tuesday. Car absolutly wrecked. (My car by the way. )
Thankfully both my parents where okay, my dad just got banged up pretty bad, but came home Tuesday morning. My mom got the worst of it though, had a bit of internal bleeding but she's okay now too. She just can't do much with her arm that got stuck between the car door. Paramedics had to wiggle her free.

Re: Chat Thread
Not really, I was shitting bricks. Was pretty sure that my mom had died. Surprisingly my little brother took it well. I thought he would lose his shit and cry like a little bitch but he only lightly sobbed and took it like a champ. Actually, everyone took the news pretty well, even when we didn't know my parents condition yet. No crying, just getting everything prepared for the worst. My sister taking care of the insurance stuff, going back and forth between the hospital and house to check if there was anything new. Me holding down the fort at home, making sure my brother was okay, letting family know.
It was really well organized. Proud of our reactions, we all acted like champs.

We need a new family car though, my Altima became the family car because it's roomy and kid friendly. Now all we have is a 1980 F-150 and a 1968 Volkswagen Beetle!
