FIFA 13 Ultimate Team

Nearly half the squad made their Aztecs debut. (Gomez, Kroos, Muller, Naldo and Martinez)

First game was won by a convincing 4-0. Mario Gomez hattrick and a 30 yard bomb from Reus.

Was pretty fun playing with them. Think this will be my main team from now on.

Decided to fill up both my account's trade piles with bronze packs. Was hoping that I might get lucky and get an Opara or a Trundle but I ended up at least breaking even probably. Spent 3k on my alt account (and got 2 fitness cards, which is itself is breaking even). And spent a bit more on my main because I have 40 trade pile slots on it, nothing really notable on my main account though.

Got Swindon Town's away kit and thought it would be worth a bit (bright yellow and blue with "FIFA 13" on it, but its only worth ~250c. Also got Leyton Orient's away kit with also says FIFA 13.

Got dat formation card buying urge.

Gonna stock up.

Yes.

He's 6'3 and has good strength and heading so he's not a liability or anything.

And Muller has solid pace.

Pace is a bit overrated. Unless the guy is a complete moron when defending, pace isn't that much of a factor I think.

Big strong strikers are better in UT than their pacey counterparts in my opinion. In all my teams the big guy up top is the one giving everyone problems.

Llorente for my La Liga team, Huntelar or Gomez for my Bundesliga team, De Nigres for my Silver Mexican leauge team and Herrera for my Bronze Mexican Leauge team.

If you ain't 6'2 + you aint scoring goals for me. It's not like I even cross the ball very much so I don't know why it's like that.

Esswein is da gawd in Ultimate Team

I know what you mean, but I still feel I need a minimum of 80+ pace to be effective at all as a ST. Not necessarily enough pace to run half the pitch, but enough to break quickly and get into a good area. Loving Balotelli at the moment, big and has adequate pace.

Probably just need a bit on the wing too, Falcao was useless for me when my fastest supporting player was Ozil.

I just went 5-0 down by the 65th minute or so, the guy was cruising but somehow I then dragged it back to 5-4 by about the 85th minute, every attack seemed to cut through his defense. Then I missed a 1 on 1 chance, he broke and won the game 6-4.

Pretty impressive.

Just had a strong Balotelli moment, 1-1 in extra time (1 minute added) my final attack, get forward and he fouls me in the box. Balotelli to slot the penalty.

Anybody used a Serie A team this year? Quick CAM?

Looking at Zarate, Ibarbo, Insigne, Vargas & El Shaarawy.

Pate worked well for me there, Jela.

That was ina 4-2-3-1 on the wing so he could be deadly running at sluggish CBs.

Speaking of Seria A, for some reason there was a random pack in waiting for me in the game. Not sure if I got that for wining something or...?

But anyways, that's not important. Pulled a 4-3-1-2 Abate. That's easily 10,000 coins right there. Tempted to build a Seria A teams because I pulled him but there aren't any Mexicans in Seria A to use as my token Mexican. Just going to sell it.

Did you win a gold tournament? Or maybe complete the manager tasks?

I've set a goal.
Although I don't play him every match. I have two teams I use competivly. My best team the Bundesliga team and my La Liga team.

Speaking of which, just played the worst FUT player I have ever faced, so bad I felt I had to document it.



Llorente had a hat trick within 11 minutes of the match. I mean the game clock by the way not real minutes. I'm not even sure how that is possible.

I decided to start playing Ultimate Team again and in my first match it froze as soon as I scored.

Buying bronze packs is actually paying off. Got a 86 pace Brazilian striker in 4-4-2, cheapest one is 3.9k on the market. Slow but steady profit, also its fun opening packs. You also have the odd chance of getting like an Opara, Taylor, Osborn, Trundle, etc. and making huge profit.

Just played that team.

Guy seemed inexperience though, quit at half time 4-0. Such a waste.

Muller had a great game. Scored a hattrick. Made his goal per game average look better now. 4 in 5.

Gomez has slowed down a bit. Only has 10 in 5 now.

Going to stop playing it again. Already 3 matches in with this team and I already want to sell everything including my coins.

I don't even get mad anymore, I outplayed someone and lost 3-0 and I was happy with my performance.

I just need to do something different when I lose even though I don't deserve to instead of selling the team. As I was more annoyed that I thought I needed to sell them because of what happened when in the previous matches I've enjoyed using them.

This. I've finally accepted that I'm going to be losing quite often on this game.

Mario Gomez just scored 6 goals against some super La Liga side.

Nice, I'm making a Bundesliga team and wondering if you could inform me of Huntelaar's quality, take in mind I use RvP and as everyone knows go on about him, so pace isn't a big issue for me.

Huntelaar was really good for me. So good in fact I was weary of replacing him with Mario Gomez but I took the plunge by rationalizing that Huntelaar is pretty much Gomez lite.

He finishes pretty much everything. I think if RVP works for you Huntelaar should too. He goes for like 3k so it's worth trying him out.

kyro if you want the best striker in the Bundesliga

you will go for Esswein, he has a fucking beast shot, like srs he is better than Huntelaar for me
