Starting the game on defensive makes your wingers get back a lot in 352 but not to much where they don't get forward enough, because the game is so messed up this year defensive plays like balanced did in FUT12.

Because you will get nothing out of it. Should only buy packs with money if your hoping to get a player who will get you more coins.

That formation is sucide, just use 352 it isnt as defensive as you think, I'm averaging 3.5 goals a game with it so far.
