I prefer to refer to Berbatov's genius lone striker performance in a semi-final rout of Shalke. It is deeply depressing that he didn't play in the final or else he could have guided us to our 3rd champions leagie title.

Last year Berbatov simply didn't play enough in order to see us through, even Fergie referred to this, saying he played too many young players, whereas more experiences players such as Berbatov would have inevitably seen us through.

The defensive mishaps of the team cannot be blamed on Berbatov. He scored a goal and the team scored two goals. As a striker he cannot always be their to prevent the opposition from scoring. Please do not blame this poor defensive display on Dimitar Berbatov.
