Couldn't fit the full question in the title, but what I wanted to ask was this, would you ever have your rivals' anthem or song played at your ground under special circumstances?

I ask this because I've seen Everton fan pages discussing having You'll Never Walk Alone played at Goodison for the 96 people that lost their lives at Hillsborough in the wake of the truth coming out. In a similar incident, Everton's song, Z-Cars was played at Anfield after Rhys Jones (10/11? Year old Everton fan) was shot.

Would you be for or against having a rivals' team played at your ground after a disaster etc?

    Depends on the situation.

The Z Cars thing was a class act though.

Definitely. Things are more important than football. I was proud of what the club did after the sad death of Rhys Jones. If there was any disaster of similar sorts to happen again say for instance Man City, or Man United, I would have no problem with joining in with a tribute - even if it was something synonymous with a rival.

There's been talk of United fans bringing a banner and joining in with a chorus of YNWA when they travel to ours in a week or so's time. That would be class if it were to happen.

I will likely be hated by Liverpool fans here...but I genuinely don't want YNWA played at Goodison. I know this sounds awful but I'm only being honest.

Would not bother me at all if a rival club had their song, or something played for them at Anfield for a disaster or for something like that. Rivalry should be put to where it belongs, when it comes to a life or death situation.

Yeah don't get me wrong, if we play it on Monday then I wont really care, it's just a personal preference.

I liked it when we played Z cars at Anfield for Rhys Jones.

I am all for rival songs played, for occasions like that.

No. It's only done so you can feel better about hoping they all got hit with a truck the week before.

Yes, some situations like the one mentioned are above a rivalry.

I wouldn't play YNWA at OT if it was my choice.

Everton might aswell be Liverpool. Both have a rather unusual love-in.

    Shit rivalry.

I don't think I could bring myself to have the Pompey Chimes played at St. Mary's.

Depends on the circumstances though, more than anything.

AFC fans expected to sing "You'll Never Walk Alone" at around 3:06pm today in memory of the 96 #LFC fans who died at Hillsborough.
