Yeah, Chip shot looks incredibly easy.

Was it FIFA 09 when the first touch could be completely awful sometimes?

Chip shots were so hard to pull of in 12 so I always felt like the shit when I scored them.

Used to lose so many matches because I couldn't bother using finesse shot in 12 or my players were so shit they would never go in. Used to try and smash it in almost always.

I'm speaking from outside the box by the way.

Chip shots in FIFA 12 were poorly done, if you were sprinting and you chipped it you would expect a little dink going at fast pace, regardless of the pace it would always be carried out at the same pace.

Fifa 11 you could score chips for fun by doing LT + X and they seriously decreased the quality of the chips in 12.

I thought it was FIFA 10 where every other goal was a chip because the goalies were morons?

It might have been, it was of them anyway.

They made chip shots too easy one year and last year they made it too hard. There is never a middle ground for EA.

It's more like there's no middle ground for FIFA players.

I remember that.

I was scoring them all the time in career mode. Then I was like "stop, this is getting unrealistic"

I've always felt that the biggest problem with FIFA is not the game itself but it's community.

Good, the flow of FIFA was horrendous this year. That was the reason for most people pace abusing, because it was too difficult to string a few passes together, they never went where you aimed them.

Nah, probably a licensing issue there.

Looks like the first touch can work to your advantage sometimes though, that Giroud goal was scored because of first-touch control.

Cech had a poor Euro tournament which probably affected it by 1.
