Valdes is underrated. People only seem to concentrate on the occasional errors he makes, which is expected of a sweeper keeper.

First, todays error, backpass plenty of time to get rid of it, valdes decides to fuck around in his own penalty area and get it stolen by Di Maria, that goal could cost his team in the second leg. Poor poor goalkeeper play.

Torres goal, Valdes goes to ground way too early and let's Torres walk around him

Never said I liked Reina, that being said I think he is slightly better than Valdes and he is on a much worse team. The only reason people even think Valdes is good is because he's on Barcelona, if he was on a lesser club nobody would think he was good.

No, it's because Casillas is the captain.

And yes, he's made some mistakes, but not too many recently, and he's far from mediocre, he's the perfect GK for Barca.

Don't think he's wrong in questioning Valdes. He's obviously exaggerated but for a goalkeeper whose distribution is his primary asset, it's unacceptable for him to fuck up as badly as he did today. It's not the first time he's done this kind of thing too (against Real Madrid in the league last year at the Bernabeu comes to mind) so it isn't by any means unfair to criticise him. He's naturally not a very good commander of the box nor is he an exceptional shot-stopper so when he keeps conceding one on ones (as he did in the latter stages of last season) as well as lose the ball then why is he regarded as such a fantastic goalkeeper?

No, that's not true at all. If Barca fans are telling you he's a good keeper, then why do you think you know better when you clearly barely even watch him? If he's shit, then they'll say it, just like if an Arsenal player is shit, we'll admit it and probably start slating them.
