Valencia RB and Carrick CB, Fellaini immense.. Everton overall great.. us a bit lacking but still could have grabbed a few goals.. overall Everton deserved it for playing better than us.Paulinho wrote:Cliffs?

Came on like the 70th minute and didn't get much service, one time he got the ball in a dangerous area he nearly made a goal for Kagawa.Paulinho wrote:Ahk. Did Vahn Perchie play?

Re: Manchester United FC Official Thread
Sir Alex Ferguson admitted his Manchester United side failed to get the best out of new signing Robin van Persie as they slumped to defeat.
Van Perise came off the bench with 22 minutes to go against Everton and United a goal down, but the £24million striker was unable to help conjure an equaliser for his new club.
Marouane Fellaini's 57th-minute goal condemned United to a 1-0 defeat - losing their opening Premier League game for the first time since 2004.
And Fergie admitted his players did not play to van Persie's strengths when the former Arsenal captain came on for his debut.
"We played around him too much," said Ferguson. "We didn't show enough penetration.
"With Robin in your team, you know you want to use his ability against centre-backs in situations he's very good at. But we didn't use him enough."
At least he realised.

I watched the second half and I wondered why Valencia and Nani were on the same side
Now I get it I think...
Why was Valencia at RB?

Still unsure on De Gea's punching, other than that he was great last night.

Re: Manchester United FC Official Thread
De Gea is odd when he stops shots because they always look like amazing saves then when you see it again the ball is going like right at him
Can he catch the ball? (not being a dick, srs question I've never seen him catch a ball only seen him parry shots. Plus I don't watch him much)

He can, but when under pressure from set pieces he tends to punch it out.

If Evra keeps playing like he did yesterday than he should be given a chance.

Can't wait for the game on Saturday already.
I'd go for:
DDG
Rafael-Evans(if fit)-Vidic-Evra
Anderson-Carrick
Valencia-Rooney-Kagawa
RVP

De Gea is no doubt a great shot stopper but he is soft. Needs to toughen up. I cringe at every corner or ball sent in the air into the box

To be fair it should be against the rules to be able to control every ball that comes at you at any height, pace.

Yeah I agree, exploiting a small midfield with a 6"4 player should be against the rules to. Perhaps if this siutation arises again, Fellaini should have to play on his knees. ...
I like Ferguson but it's hard to like him when he's so bitter, just be grateful in defeat.
