David Amoo, John Welsh and Andy Procter will all be eager to prove their fitness to Preston manager Graham Westley.
Amoo and Welsh only played 45 minutes against Plymouth in North End's
final pre-season game on their way back from injury but will be pushing
    for a starting place.
Procter is closer to full fitness having played 90 minutes in the same game.
Paul Huntington suffered a knock against Plymouth but is likely to recover in time.
The same cannot be said of Lee Trundle,Preston v Huddersfield - Carling Cup - 19:45 K.O Spacer who will be sidelined for at least three months with a serious knee injury.
With 13 new faces having arrived at Deepdale this summer, Westley still
has a number of options as he seeks to overcome the Championship side.

Huddersfield boss Simon Grayson will be without Sean Scannell, Oliver
Norwood, Murray Wallace and Jordan Rhodes due to international call-ups.
Midfielder Scannell is with the Republic of IrelandPreston v Huddersfield - Carling Cup - 19:45 K.O Spacer Under-21's while fellow new signing Norwood is in the Northern IrelandPreston v Huddersfield - Carling Cup - 19:45 K.O Spacer squad to face Finland.
Wallace will represent Scotland U-21's with last season's 40-goal striker Rhodes called up to the full Scotland squad.
Aside from the missing quartet, Grayson has a full squad to choose from,
although Scott Arfield is lacking fitness having only featured in one
pre-season game on his return from injury.
New boys Keith Southern, Adam Clayton, Joel Lynch and Paul Dixon could make their competitive debuts for the Terriers.

Could go any way this. No Rhodes for them but we kept him quiet in April so i'm fairly confident.

2-1 to PNE. Holmes first scorer.

We fuckin dominated them, apparently Radio Leeds were commentating on the game and were waxing lyrical about us.

And Jack King, part-timer last season, running the show this season. I fucking love him
