    Just got some athletics tickets for £20 that includes:

    Men's 100m Preliminary Round
    Women's Heptathlon Long Jump - Groups A & B
    Women's Pole Vault Qualifying Rounds - Groups A & B
    Men's 400m Round 1
    Women's 3000m Steeplechase Round 1
    Women's Heptathlon Javelin Throw - Group A
    Men's 100m Round 1
    Women's Heptathlon Javelin Throw - Group B

    And after that i'll be getting a train from paddington to Cardiff arriving at 17;45 and meeting my Dad there for the mens football quarter final Laughing.

    It's probably that. BBC just shown an interview with that Dutch bloke (head of UK athletics), and he's on about not having spoken to him within a week, and he's not at the training camp.

    What's everyone's favorite event to watch? I like the 100m's (obviously) But I also enjoy the Javelin and shotput and the ones like that, and the high jump, that's always quite exciting

    In athletics, the sprint events are good to watch. To be honest I'll watch near enough anything in the Olympics apart from team sports like football and hockey etc, I don't think they should be in the Olympics.

    I still feel a bit weird that football is in the olympics, I mean, they've got the world cup and stuff, for most other sports, the Olympics is the main competition.

    China put in a ton of money into their sports when they got the bid and really went all out, doubt GB did the same but like i said the home nation always gets a boost.

    China had about 650 athletes iirc, most of any nation. but host nations get some qualifying.perks too
