Rocksteady's next Batman game will be a prequel

For those who cannot muster the effort to click the link. Apparently the game's art style will be more akin to the Silver age batman comics rather than the "dark knight" style of today. An Example of the Silver age style

And the game's story will detail Batman's first meeting with the Joker(who will most likely be voiced by a different actor).

My thoughts? I'm altogether quite disappointed with the news. There was plenty of room for the series to move forward with a new villain taking the centre piece role after the Joker's demise. But on the other hand, a refresh could be what the series needs as I imagine the same formula and art-style could have grown a tad stale by the third game. Opinions?

That would be a mistake. Arkham City was a truly brilliant game.

Could go either way at this point. I'll wait for game play, or at least screen shots to make a judgement.

Stupid idea, especially after the major scarecrow hints and the Hush side quest.

I thought when MGS went back to a prequel it would be lame, and thats the best game of the series, so I'll wait and see.
