Re: The tennis thread.
It's okay, Rosel played the match of his life and good for him. I doubt he'll play like this again imo, will get eliminated in the next two rounds.
That delay after the 4th think played a part, momentum wise, but no excuses for Nadal in the 5th getting broken so early.

I always see you egging on Rafa so I guess you're in support of him, the fact it could be a one off performance doesn't hep Rafa.10RLegend wrote:It's okay, Rosel played the match of his life and good for him. I doubt he'll play like this again imo, will get eliminated in the next two rounds.

Rafa won't win a title until Monte Carlo next year. Quote me on that.

Re: The tennis thread.
According to you Rafa's loss to Verdasco was a sign of bad things to come, he went on to win 3 titles, you said he'd win Wimbledon, he's out in R2.. sticking money on him winning everything from now till Monte Carlo.Pico wrote:Rafa won't win a title until Monte Carlo next year. Quote me on that.

Re: The tennis thread.
Nadal can now go to Kiev for the Euro 2012 final, maybe this was the masterplan ...

Even if he won Wimbledon, he wouldn't have won a title between then and Monte Carlo.
EDIT: Oh, and maybe this was the bad thing to come?

A player playing the match of his life at Wimbledon? I doubt that's what you were getting at.Pico wrote:kyro7 wrote:According to you Rafa's loss to Verdasco was a sign of bad things to come, he went on to win 3 titles, you said he'd win Wimbledon, he's out in R2.. sticking money on him winning everything from now till Monte Carlo.Pico wrote:Rafa won't win a title until Monte Carlo next year. I agree, it's going to be a huge story around the media and tennis world, the majority love an underdog story so it's bound to blow up.
The style of play that we saw from Rosel is very inconsistent, which is why I doubt he'll play like this again. When he missed bad on his power strokes today it looked straight up amateurish imo. His serve is very good though.
Nadal will bounce back, he always does.
