Re: Italy v. Russia
Toni wasn't rubbish at the World Cup. He was the type of striker they needed to help them win the World Cup. It has been proven that in major international tournaments you don't need always need a centre forward that can score goals to win.

This defense needs more Chiellini.

Only caught the second half.
Thought Italy produced some good moments of football, but as Kulud said, poor goals to concede.

Wow, terrible defending from Italy. Mauro should feel disgusted.

He had that good season at Fiorentina before the 2006 World Cup (which he was rubbish in) he was awful at Bayren, and really has been since
He got the Bundesliga Golden Boot at Bayern Was quality for Palermo, too.
He's been terrible since he started racking up injuries in his second year at Bayern.
My Italian roommates hung a Luca Toni jersey in our rafters.

I predict Croatia will finish above Italy in their group. Spain and Croatia through.

Meh, he was a decent goal scorer but not too great of a footballer passing, positioning, hold up play, etc he was lacking. I always liked him but he was frustrating and to be honest if we expect to finish top 4 we need somebody better. That being said he gave us some great moments and I wish him the best.
