1am on ESPN for whoever asked.

The Scotland squad isn't too bad. The defence is alright actually, Wedbster aside. Good to see Matty Phillips get his debut.

And he is going to go with one striker up top. Idiot. Should play two, works so much better.

    Parkhurst got this?

Don't know where do i see the squad for the match, i assume its not the one on the NT site as that includes a few players you said weren't playing.

He is at Dortmund, tearing up the reserve league. But can't crack the Dortmund side (made the bench once). He looked okay against Italy in February, but I'm not sure why he is starting this game. Gomez and Wondo up top would make more sense, dropping either Edu or Jones (Edu preferably).

Boyd has already appeared in a national team game before making his professional debut, but now he is making his first start with the national team before appearing in a club game.

Not sure why he is playing Edu, Jones, and Bradley together either. Not much creativity there - Bradley can fill that to a degree of course, but Edu and Jones is a bit of redundancy redundancy as far as positioning and mentality are concerned (at least from what Jurgie will ask of them).

Read http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2012/05/25/dempseys-absence-rare-certainty-us-team-limbo which suggests no Parkhurst or Goodson (although can't care about him, he has been medicore most of the season despite being the easy and only choice for captain, great man but not an outstanding player) Makes sense i guess as the danish players who came from the leagues last day didn't feature in our game against Brazil either.

Parkhurst has good competition in Cherundolo, but i guess him playing every defensive position for Nordsjælland can work well for him to get on the team and his offensive abilities have developed very well

Wouldn't expect anything from this, not sure if watching either now, not worth staying up all night hoping to see Parkhurst score the winner!

Cherundolo has been a mainstay in the national team for some time now -- but with his age, I would like to see other options found. I was never fond of Parkhurst when he trotted out with the national team recently -- but by the sounds of it, he might have earned himself a couple of more looks.
