Departing as a Serie A champion is what's most important, though.
The last time we won the Coppa was 1995. Del Piero didn't stay with the club through relegation just so he could get his hands on that elusive Coppa Italia trophy.
Sure, it would've been great if he left with a double, but he's leaving as a champion. He also scored in his last Serie A match.
