English, Czech and Turkish titles on the line Empty English, Czech and Turkish titles on the line

There are head-to-head title-deciders in the Czech Republic and Turkey this weekend, while one of Manchester's clubs will be crowned English champions on Sunday afternoon.

Belarus: FC Gomel v FC BATE Borisov (Saturday 17.00)
Despite their seven-match winning streak BATE only lead the division by a point from their opponents this weekend Gomel, who defeated the defending champions 2-0 in the Super Cup at the beginning of March thanks to a double from Vyacheslav Hleb, the younger brother of former FC Barcelona midfielder Aleksandr. "We really want to beat them again," said Gomel defender Sergei Matveychik. "They play well in the best European tournaments, but in the Super Cup the decisive factor was our unity."

Czech Republic: FC Slovan Liberec v FC Viktoria Plzeň (Saturday 17.30)
It is the first time in the history of Czech top flight that there has been a head-to-head title-decider, and tension is high. A point would be enough to earn the hosts the third championship of their history, but Plzeň will complete a successful defence of their maiden title if they secure an away win. In-form Plzeň have won 11 of their last 14 matches and have not conceded a goal for 546 minutes.

Liberec will be no pushover, however. They have won eight of their last ten games and are also in confident mood. "It is the last game of the season and it will be nervy for both sides," Liberec's 38-year-old two-time title winner Tomáš Janů said. "If they want the title, they will have to beat us." Plzeň captain and playmaker Pavel Horváth is keeping the faith. "It will be the true league final and could be spectacular," he said.

Turkey: Fenerbahçe SK v Galatasaray AŞ (Saturday 18.00)
The prize for victory in this keenly-anticipated play-off will be the Super League title, and Galatasaray will be kicking themselves if they succumb. Upon the completion of the regular season, they held a nine-point advantage over Saturday's opponents, yet have seen that lead whittled down to one after dropping far too many points during the play-offs. The Yellow Canaries sparked their city rival's poor sequence with a 2-1 win on 22 April and will hope to heap on more misery this weekend.

A draw would be enough for Fatih Terim's charges, although history suggests this might be the best they can hope for: Galatasaray have not won at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium for 12 years. "The season's final awaits," said Galatasaray goalkeeper Fernando Muslera. "It is a single match, a single chance. A point will be enough but we have never played for a draw. We'll go there aiming for three points. It will be a hard match, in a hard atmosphere, so we will need cool heads."

England: Manchester City FC v Queens Park Rangers FC (Sunday 16.00)
In order to claim a first title since 1968, all City need to do is match United's result at Sunderland AFC and ensure there is no significant goal swing. The Manchester clubs are level at the Premier League summit but City's goal difference is eight better than United's. With 17 victories from 18 unbeaten home league games this term, Roberto Mancini's side will be confident of seeing off the West Londonders who are without an away win in 13 attempts.

QPR know a point will probably spare them from relegation, with 18th-placed Bolton Wanderers FC lying two points behind and possessing a significantly inferior goal difference. But City are unlikely to be in charitable mood. "It's been a great few weeks with the five wins on the bounce and the way we've turned things around, but to start getting carried away now would be silly," defender Joleon Lescott told the club's website.

Italy: S.S. Lazio v FC Internazionale Milano (Sunday 20.45)
Both fourth-placed Lazio and sixth-placed Inter enter the last week with a chance of claiming Italy's final UEFA Champions League spot, but only a victory combined with a defeat for Udinese Calcio at Calcio Catania would be enough for either to move in to third position. "We don't stand much of a chance but let's win and see what happens," said Inter striker Diego Milito, who scored a hat-trick in the derby against AC Milan on Sunday. The Nerazzurri lie three points behind Udinese, and one behind Sunday's hosts. "We mustn't think about the game in Catania," said Lazio coach Edoardo Reja. "We just have to win, we'll count the points at the end."

France: Montpellier Hérault SC v LOSC Lille Métropole (Sunday 21.00)
Two days before the inauguration of the new French President, Montpellier are hoping for a power shift in Ligue 1 as they look to succeed visiting Lille as champions. René Girard's charges lead the division by three points from Paris Saint-Germain FC with two games remaining, and should they get more points at La Mosson than Carlo Ancelotti's side manage against Stade Rennais FC in the capital, the season's surprise package will celebrate their first French title.

After five successive victories, however, Lille are still in contention themselves. The third-placed side can reduce their deficit on the pretenders to their throne to two points before the final round of fixtures. "We have secured a place in next season's Champions League," said Lille striker Túlio De Melo. "Now we'd rather finish second so we go straight into the group stage. That's why we need a win."

This should make for an excellent weekend of football!

Galatasaray are champions. Game wasn't that great.

Eboue, Arshavin, Nasri, Clichy all left Arsenal this season and it looks like all 4 will have won a league title by tomorrow evening. Gun
