Re: FIFA 13
The feature I'm most looking forward to is the 'First Touch Control'. I think it will entirely change the way the game is played with first touches now based on context (pressure, player skill, etc.) rather than every player having a perfect touch and picking balls out of the air like they were Iniesta.
I was listening to the FSB Podcast and they were talking about one of the examples they were shown with Walcott sprinting down the wing with a ball smashed into him, and rather than the ball sticking to his feet, he had to adjust accordingly. Also they said sprinting will reduce the accuracy of the first touch. Bad touches may also work in your favour
The dudes at EA also said that the ball is now an entity of it's own and will not become part of a player and stick to his feet when he recieves it. This is gonna be awesome in getting rid of those stupid deflections in previous games where it just ends up glued to some guys feet who then just runs off with it (or scores with a tap-in).
This will hopefully be the end of ping-pong passing too..
Damn, it better be good.

Meh. At least it isn't graced by Rooney. I don't need to see his mug on another FIFA game ever again.

Yeah it looks really game-changing. Currently, no matter what happens with the ball.. it's headed in a players direction, no matter what; and it bothers me so fucking much.

It was confirmed today which was said by N4G news..Not sure whether they're trust worthy but I feel like it's gonna be Messi solely on the cover.

Re: FIFA 13
28th September is earlier than expected.
I'm looking forward to the touch thing, means a 90 yard ball pinged in the rain won't be able to be controlled by a 42 rated player onto his toe.
I hope thye adjust goal kicks too, they seem really useless and hopeless. I hope they increase the amount of power for different goalkeepers so I can ping them further across the pitch.

Re: FIFA 13
After last weeks FIFA 13 blowout things went quiet again pretty quickly, but Scott Weber from 1UP.com has had the chance to sit down with Nick Channon, Aaron McHardy and David Rutter to discuss the new features of FIFA 13 and find out which they’re personally most excited about.
Nick Channon: 1st Touch Control. I think ultimately it’s the one that changes our game fundamentally again, like Tactical Defending. The way it’s playing out, I’m really excited about where it’s going to go, and give that sense of realism in our game. It creates more of a balance again and we talked a lot about that because it’s so important.
Aaron McHardy: I feel like the 1st Touch Control is as big a change as tactical defending and it’s a game changer and makes you think differently, those principles apply to trapping. It just feels now playing it, “well that was missing before.” When you play 12 it was definitely missing.
David Rutter: I think the first big a-ha moment was the work that the guys did on Attacking Intelligence. The first time we were playing and it was unbalanced because we just put it in, but the box was literally flooded with attacking support. That to me was a kind of like, “right, we’ve got it,” just need to tone it back — and we have done now — but the fact that when you’re attacking you’ve got so much more support, you’ve got options where you wouldn’t have had before.

I think the reason goal kicks are useless is because there is no way to control/direct headers..
I've been playing FIFA since 07 and still have no idea how headers work.

Realised this, but the caption was CL.
Still, they better change this and the fact CC matches are played in the day sometimes.
