    No, after all of this Liverpool's starting point does not change. Here is how it goes...

    Tottenham Hotspur (4th) group stage

    Newcastle United (5th) Playoff round

    Liverpool (LC winner) 3rd qualifying round

    Financial fairplay is here!

  • Turkey (TUR): Beşiktaş, the fourth-placed team of the 2011–12 Süper Lig, and Bursaspor, the runners-up of the 2011–12 Turkish Cup (as well as the fifth-placed team of the league), have been banned by UEFA from competing in the 2012–13 UEFA Europa League due to financial problems.[15] As a result, Eskişehirspor and İstanbul B.B., the sixth and seventh-placed teams of the league, will take Turkey's Europa League places in the third and second qualifying rounds respectively.

    This exactly. Admittedly about 1/3 of the stuff Weather posts I don't really care about but you don't have to be all pissy about it, just go on your business because someone else might enjoy the information.

    More Financial fairplay issues;

  • Greece (GRE): AEK Athens, the third-placed team of the 2011–12 Superleague Greece, could not get a UEFA license to compete in the 2012-13 UEFA Europa League due to financial problems.[12] As a result, Atromitos and PAOK, the fourth and fifth-placed teams of the league, will enter the Europa League play-off round and third qualifying round instead of the third and second qualifying rounds respectively, and Asteras Tripolis, the sixth-placed team of the league, will take Greece's Europa League place in the second qualifying round.

    Turkish side Bursaspor will be allowed to compete in next season's Europa League competition following a Court of Arbitration for Sport decision to suspend a competition ban imposed by UEFA over unpaid transfer fees.

    At the end of May, UEFA's appeals body banned the side from the 2012-13 competition over unpaid transfer fees dating back to 2007.

    CAS have now ruled, though, that the punishment should be suspended for three years, with the club fined €250,000 for the offence.

    Lol, Bohs and St. Pat's drawn against 2 Icelandic teams. They should come through those pretty handy. IIRC Irish sides have a good record against the Icelandic teams.

    You also forgot the biggest advantage of this draw, low travel expenses. I think Iceland is the shortest trip ROI teams could possibly get for this round.

    A few games were held today;

    Víkingur (Faroe Islands) 0 FC Gomel (Belarus) 6

    FK Shkëndija (Macedonia) 0 Portadown (Northern Ireland) 0

    Also...

  • Czech Republic (CZE): Sigma Olomouc, the 2011–12 Czech Republic Football Cup winner, were initially to enter the third qualifying round of the Europa League. However, UEFA banned them from participating in Europa League over the club’s involvement in a corruption scandal.[12] As a result, Sparta Prague, the second-placed team of the 2011–12 Gambrinus liga, will enter the Europa League third qualifying round instead of the second qualifying round, and Mladá Boleslav, the fourth-placed team of the league, will take one of Czech Republic's Europa League places in the second qualifying round.

    The result most likely will not be good but with how this works you are not likely to see a team much bigger than Rosenborg, ever. It should be fun I think football with low expectations can be fun. You have no pressure and 0-0 looks really good.

    I don't think I'll be going this evening, not really up for it. I wasn't expecting Crusaders to do much anyway, and I know it would of been an enjoyable experience as these European qualifiers normally are. But Crusaders ran Fulham very close in the home leg of a Europa League qualifier last year, and Linfield from the Northern Irish league held Rosenborg to a 0-0 draw a couple of years ago in a Champions League qualifier.

    Bit sloppy from FC Twente, just 2 goals in the first half, could easily have been a crushing result by now, but perhaps in the 2nd half.

    Luuk De Jong, Emir Bajrami and Andreas Bjelland (Euro 2012 squads) are yet to join up with the team though.

    Not bad by Druids, was made aware on them on a chat, they are a 2nd division club that was cup runner up, MyPa the former club of Sami Hyppiä and the club that sold Jari Litmanen to Ajax. Not an upset perhaps but none the less a good performance by Druids.

    FC Twente is probably all over but should have ended much higher score. A lot of misses in first half.
