Was it a fake twitter account though? I do not listen to radio phone ins because I see myself as above them.

the one he read out is a parody account, bit of a schoolboy error but it suggests the actual threat was from Leggo and he thought this was his Twitter account.
I particularly enjoyed the bit where the hun called up saying he shouldn't be criticisng other journalists,he's not revealed anything Clyde haven't already gone over .. to which Thomson asks him if he already knew about Bain asking for £100,000 out of an EBT schheme .. "s..s...sorry I don't know" Alex replies "I think the answer you're looking for is no pal"
