Not video, that slows the game down. Just a chip on the ball or whatever.

We have needed it for ages now. It must be brought in.

Only a simpleton would argue against bringing it in at this stage.

Goal Line technology will only come in if something happens in the Champions League final or the world cup final.

How the fuck does video slow the game, it takes about 15 seconds, not that big a sacrifice for correct decisions

They can always add it on to injury time, which is no different than a player rolling round crying on the floor for about a minute.

The less injury time the better as some people might miss the last train home at night etc.crump wrote:They can always add it on to injury time, which is no different than a player rolling round crying on the floor for about a minute.

It's not like it will happen every game, just for important decisions etc etc. Like today, for example.

I agree that video thing could slows the game, but goal line tecnology is urgently needed !
I don't know how the goal line technology was not adopted after that England x Germany in WC 2010...

no. As you saw today, we saw about 3 replays before the ref had managed to get spurs players out of his face and start the game again, therefore it would add 10-20 extra to the pause maximumLFC_Grunners wrote:Not video, that slows the game down. Just a chip on the ball or whatever.

Why can't someone in a TV truck have a mic with the ref and say goal or not? Wouldn't take long at all. Or have an official somewhere secluded from fans/managers/players with a TV and give them a few replays to determine the decision. With nobody around in a quiet room, nothing could influence him.

Yeah, because watching the match on TV the game really does get slowed down? Have a fourth man sit in a booth and watch the game on TV, and if a ref is uncertain about something he just asks the guy in the booth.

Even though that goal didn't prove the difference it still should not have been given. Something needs to be done, but while Blatter is still in charge nothing will be done.

Yeah we could quite easily sort out a correct decision in the time it takes for a team to crowd around and argue with the ref.
As others have mentioned we should have a 5th official sitting in a room with instant access to replays.
I would like a challenge system - give each manager 2 challenges per match.

It happens every week now so if everyone goes on about each incident for 2 weeks then it will never stop
But yeah...people can only moan so much, FIFA etc know about the problems they are just slow at implementing change.

All those sports are a stop-start game. Football is a free flowing game. I think Fifa are worried that having goal line technology will lead to further orders for video evidence to be implemented to examine penalties and offside decisions for example.
I personally don't want it as I enjoy the odd controversial decision in football. That's one reason why the game is so exciting to watch.

I bet you wouldn't feel the same if your team lost a final or got relegated through a decision which was wrong and that could be proved by the technology?RubyArmyCTFC wrote:Drake wrote:Rugby, Tennis and Cricket have it so why not Football?

Rugby is no more stop start than Football. Infact, I'd say football is more stop start with the amount of free kicks, throw ins and corners that are given and the time taken to actually take these. In rugby the play doesn't stop unless a penalty is given or a try is scored/getting checked out.
