Fair enough, just my opinion.

Messi is in a situation that no other Barca player has ever been in, He's fortunate to have Iniesta and Xavi probably the best midfield duo ever. These 3 players have a certain chemistry no other players have, they know each other in and out since they've been playing with each other since the youth academy. Messi hasn't had to adjust to new team mates, Messi, Iniesta and Xavi playstyle was devolped to get the best from each other. I'm not saying Messi is far worse than Ronaldo but if you gave Messi a new team and new team mates he wouldn't be as good, He'd be similar to his Argentina play which isn't as good as his Barcelona games obviously.

Then you have Ronaldo who's EPL Proven, With defenders that are much more aggressive they'll take you and the ball instead of allowing you to jog past them. His team chemistry with players isn't instinctive like Messi because hes only played with each team for 3-5 years. Ronaldo rarely plays/played as a striker for Madrid or United, he requires more individual brilliance and athleticism to get his goals, unlike Barcelona who allow Messi as the key role upfront and everybody's aim is to get him on the ball.

Ronaldo > Messi.
