Check the youtube link that was posted, he has a second or two of what looks like a fit and shaking while being turned over.
And you're saying you need a strong stomach to watch that? It last two seconds and he's hardly shaking or 'having a fit'.

When you have a heart attack you don't suffer epilepsy. You freeze and struggle as you fail to catch breath and then your bodily functions fail to work.

It looked to me like he was shaking having a fit, and it was disturbing for me to watch even for those two seconds. Whatever it was, it didn't look good.

He was being force fed oxygen the whole way through. The only time he didn't have it was when he collapsed on the pitch.
Put as much oxygen into the lungs as you want(actually don't due that, oxygen is poisonous shifty) but if his heart wasn't pumping blood, having a respirator or a tube in your lungs does nothing.

Also I doubt the medical staff would of jumped to the oxygen straight away. Obviously they would of tried CPR or a defibrillator first.

There only should have been a need to pump oxygen into his lungs if he couldn't physically breath (lung failure or throat closing up) and I assume that didn't happen as it was his heart and I assume what most people saw was a respirator on his mouth.

So it wasn't his throat or lungs, it was his heart, plain and simple.

I wish the best for him Sad horrible to see these kinds of things happen, I myself just returned from the hospital, broke my arm in football training Sad of course that's not anywhere near as bad as what happened to him but I'm just saying that it's so sad that these things happen in football, or anywhere.

According to a cardiologist on SSN it's more likely it was a cardaic arrest than a heart attack, which is basically involves a muscle problem with his heart.

If its heart problems doesn't this mean he won't play again? Remember Rubén de la Red? He had heart problems also and had to retire.

If it was a cardiac arrest ...

Although relatively few studies have addressed the long term psychological effects of surviving a cardiac arrest, the research that has been carried out has demonstrated that most cardiac arrest survivors have enjoyed a good overall quality of life but may suffer from a degree of cognitive and emotional impairments.
