PSG After Suarez & Higuain Empty PSG After Suarez & Higuain

Post by Guest Wed Mar 07, 2012 3:14 pm

Paris St Germain's billionaire owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi has confirmed the Ligue 1 club hope to bring Liverpool's Luis Suarez and Real Madrid's Gonzalo Higuain to the Parc des Princes this summer.

Suarez and Higuain top PSG's wish list for next season, following on from the recent transfers of Javier Pastore, Thiago Motta and Alex.

In an ominous sign for the club's rivals, Al-Khelaifi, chairman of Qatar Sports Investment, says the forthcoming summer's £85 million summer spending spree is just the beginning of increased investment over the next "five or six years" as PSG attempt to become a European powerhouse.

"We are already looking at the market for next season," Al-Khelaifi said. "We have clear targets in mind. It is true that we want Luis Suarez and [Real Madrid striker] Gonzalo Higuain. Our real short-term targets are to win the Champions League and find a new Lionel Messi.

"We will spend what is normal for a top-class club. We prefer to invest a lot and immediately. In the next five or six years, we still spend this amount. Then the investments will slow."

PSG missed out on signing David Beckham, Carlos Tevez and AC Milan's Alexandre Pato in January, but currently lead Ligue 1 under new manager Carlo Ancelotti.

I would be okay if we got 30-40 million for him.

Enough for a striker who can score goals.

Tell me why can he finish so well suddenly when he played for Uruguay or when he used to play for Ajax? Maybe because he gets better chances and into more goal scoring positions, at Liverpool he has to run past 5 defenders to make a chance, nobody in the squad is on the same wave length at him because 90% of the squad is English shit that has the technical ability of a fraction Suarez's toe.

People say he fails at Liverpool where as he creates even more than "All Mighty Steven Gerrard" but nobody takes the chances. He has 11 goals and 6 assists which is pretty fucking nice seeing the team Liverpool have.

    Thank you.

If you have watched our games then you would have seen him miss easy chances, shoot when the better option to pass and generally be a selfish player. Suarez is a great player and all that shit but he has some glaring faults that won't be fixed by better players around him.

    Also, you are welcome.

It would be fixed somewhat if he knew he had players around him that could contribute to goal-scoring, not leaving it mostly down to him.

Taken the full blame for our goal scoring isn't going to work with suarez. He doesn't have the finishing of the old torres.

Also it is obviously not working, just look at the amount of goals scored in the league.

Suarez needs a partner upfront to play alongside. To often we have used him in the lone striker role and expected him to do all the work on his own. Take last season for instance, he was on fire whilst playing alongside kuyt and has even had a few decent games with Carroll this season. Think Kenny needs to realise that he isn't a replacement for Torres and is a completely different player.

If I had to play with Carroll in front of me I'd just shoot myself. You want to lessen the burden on Suarez not increase it. Carroll can't keep up neither physically or mentally.

Jackson Martinez, Nilmar, and Doumbia on the other hand. PSG After Suarez & Higuain 706492

Doumbia wants to play in London though, so wouldn't be surprised with a QPR swoop. shifty

Liverpool really screwed up, had a few good choices out there in Vagner Love, Eduardo Vargas, and Mousso Sow but Liverpool let them get swooped up by other clubs.

PSG After Suarez & Higuain Luissuarezscrewedupfacevafc201200303_576x324

Rumours of a switch to Paris Saint Germain for Liverpool striker Luis Suarez are sure to grow after the player told Canal+ he could be open to such a move.

Suarez has endured a stormy 12 months in the Premier League, scoring 10 goals in 32 appearances and being affected by disciplinary problems - the worst of which was an eight-game ban for the use of racially offensive language towards Manchester United defender Patrice Evra.

Last week, PSG indicated they would make a move for the Uruguay international in the summer, though Reds boss Kenny Dalglish insisted there was no chance he would be sold. But now the player has suggested he is willing to move to the big spending Ligue 1 leaders the situation could change.

Diego Lugano, captain of Uruguay and a staunch supporter of Suarez during the racism row, is at PSG and Suarez said he would "love" to play alongside him at club level. That said, Lugano is something of an outcast at PSG and has started only nine Ligue 1 games this season.

Suarez said: "Yes, I could come to Paris, like lots of other clubs. There are lots of big clubs with such a reputation who want to build a strong team and Paris are one of these teams who buy to strengthen their side.

"I would love to play at the same club as him (Lugano)"

Yea cause Liverpool are exceptional at picking out strikers that work for them.

Liverpool could loan him back to Ajax for a little, but i see selling him to PSG as a good move, although don't they have some french speaking darker skinned players? Thought he had some history with that Razz

I'd doubt he'd go back to Liverpool after the way you treated him.

Rodrigo Palacio would be awesome for Liverpool if he wasn't so old, doubt you'd sign a player who's already 30.

    Torres

Well if you shoot a thousand shots into a forest you are bound to hit a couple doing it.

    wait
that went wrong, point was that that there have been too many "failed"
strikers at Liverpool before and during Torres spell at the club.
