Al Jazeera is an arabic name yes, but they are known for being a relatively unbiased, modern, oil-financed, and respectable Qatari company/news station/broadcaster. They also have a good history with broadcasting sports.

By the way, my Dad lived and worked out in the middle east for a while and he had Al Jazeera Sports, said they were great coverage and they showed 3pm games on their channels.

Al Jazeera English is legit so this could possibly happen. The bad news here is no one is willing to carry the channel so I hope this bid is only for the rights to show games in the UK.

Al Jazeera Sports has like 10 different sports channels. I haven't seen their English broadcast, but my favorite Arabic commentator (and the one on FIFA 12) commentates for Al Jazeera. They are a good network.
Oh, and there just had to be an Arab/Muslim comment.

I think the English channel is done so well, too bad it's not in HD.
It's always Lineker, Francis and Guillt providing the analysis, Jon Champion providing commentary for most games.
