I'd want to get a job there stacking the shelves

Do you have to lick the product to taste it like on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory?

No I mean, whats the point in the virtual shopping market, if you bother going to a place like that, why not just go to a normal place?

Oh right, I guess you go in, buy the stuff and then it's delivered to you? Saves the hassle of pushing a trolley around and carrying heavy bags etc. Sounds cool to me.

What is the point? Why not just fucking go online shopping?
Guest- Guest
Why not just order off the internet, save having to go to the shop in the first place.
Guest- Guest
Because it's easier to see stuff in front of you i.e. you'll remember what you want better rather than ordering online and then when it's delivered, remember something that you wanted.

As said, what's the point?
If it gets delivered to you, you're basically doing a normal shop, leaving with fuck all, and getting it a few days later.
Either go to a normal supermarket or do it online.

I'm not meaning to be defensive, just offering the pros.

This is one hell of a stupid idea

Woolworths must still be broke if they can't afford any actual produce, just pictures of it.

By the looks of things you can only shop if you have an iPhone too

Imagine a cardboard cutout truck turns up at your house with just pictures of the stuff you ordered.

Sounds stupid. So you just go there and burn fuel/bus/taxi fare and then pay more for it to be delivered on another day? What's the difference between this and online shopping anyway lol? Only reason I could see a use for this if you want to spend tangible cash.Jelavić7|EFC wrote:Sean wrote:No I mean, whats the point in the virtual shopping market, if you bother going to a place like that, why not just go to a normal place?

Swear to god Jela one day you are going to learn how to make a thread.

Put that in your opening post please. Some of us don't know how a virtual super market works.
And after finding out how it works I have to say it's fucking stupid.

I'm more amazed they have Woolworths in Australia

A "virtual" store (I'm putting it in quotations, but it's technically a physical store still) offers no benefits to customers if it's just going to be delivered to their homes anyways. Customers might as well just place their orders from a computer at their home.

yes ahly, please read the rest of the thread before commenting, and consequently repeated what has already been said about 5 times. Thanks.

I did read the thread. So it's only a problem when I offer no counterpoint?

I'm not surprised Woolworths are going bust when they come up with bollocks like this.

What how does that work out? When you are at home you can see exactly what you need and order exactly what you need, not overspend on stuff you don't need.Jelavić7|EFC wrote:Because it's easier to see stuff in front of you i.e. you'll remember what you want better rather than ordering online and then when it's delivered, remember something that you wanted.
Intelligent Idea by that supermarket. By eliminating the cart, customers will have no idea how much they're actually buying.
